Well, I just happen to be a Unix guy (as my CV might suggest), so I like to fiddle around with a lot of technology at work and at home. Surely I don’t really need a “homepage”, but it’s nice to have an own domain name to play around with. It’s especially nice to be my own MX, and since I need an always running machine for this purpose anyway, the website is sort of naturally coming along with it…
If you wonder where the moonage comes from, it has nothing to do with some kind of esoteric magic. I am just a fan of David Bowie, and when I was looking for a domain name, I checked the lyrics database, and thought that Moonage Daydream was a good songtitle to inspire me.
