Profile

I have spent nearly three decades in systems architecture. My journey started with air traffic simulation tools on AIX at TU Berlin and global telecoms infrastructure with Alcatel in the late 90s, evolving into modern enterprise cloud engineering.

Well actually my journey started with a Sinclair ZX81 back in the days I guess. Whopping 1K RAM!

The next major milestone was the C64—which shaped a lot of what came next. There’s even a classic scener entry of mine over on the CSDb... ;-)

Beyond the Terminal: Bowie & Cinema

The name of this domain, Moonage Daydream, comes straight from Ziggy Stardust. Beyond infrastructure code and shell sessions, my two main creative grounding points are music and cinema:

  • David Bowie: Lifelong appreciation for the Berlin Trilogy (Low, Heroes, Lodger), constant reinvention, and timeless soundscapes.
  • Movie Nerd: Passion for film history, sci-fi classics, neo-noir, physical media and 70s cinema. Oh, and 80s cinema. And 90s cinema. And...
